About
The California Inter-Tribal Assistance Network (CITAN) unites Tribes across the state to secure funding and deliver critical community infrastructure projects that strengthen sustainability and sovereignty. By providing dedicated technical, administrative, and planning support, CITAN ensures resources flow directly into Tribal communities where they are most needed.
Our network is Tribal-led, guided by a board of directors composed entirely of Tribal members and representatives, including leaders from the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation.
We focus on critical infrastructure needs such as wastewater treatment, public drinking water systems, water acquisitions, electricity generation, and power distribution.
For more information or to begin a project, Tribes can contact us directly at info@thecitan.org.
